Follow these steps to begin or advance your credentialing journey with AOGI.

How to Apply

  1. Review Requirements

Carefully read the qualifications and educational expectations for the credential level you are seeking (Certified, Licensed, or Ordained). Confirm that you meet the basic qualifications for all applicants.

  2. Prepare Supporting Materials

Gather the following before completing the application:

    • Personal testimony of salvation, water baptism, and baptism in the Holy Spirit (300–500 words)
    • Statement of your call to ministry and intended field of service
    • Three letters of recommendation from qualified ministers (not relatives)
    • Background / police check (as required in your jurisdiction)
    • Documentation of completed educational courses or equivalent training
    • Sponsor endorsement from a local church or recognized ministry (where applicable)
  3. Complete the Application Form

Download and complete the official application form. Answer all questions thoroughly and honestly. Incomplete applications will delay processing.

  4. Submit Application Package

Send the completed application, supporting documents, and applicable fees to the credentials office. You may submit electronically or by mail.

  5. Interview & Examinations

Upon preliminary review, you will be scheduled for an interview with the Credentials Committee and required knowledge examinations (Bible, Doctrine, Polity as applicable).

  6. Decision & Credential Issuance

After successful interview and examination, the committee will make a recommendation. Upon approval, your credential certificate will be issued and you will be welcomed into the fellowship of credentialed ministers.
